First work-spec Ranger I’ve spotted. I like it. I feel that with most modern trucks they design the blingy versions first and then cheapen it to make the working version, and it shows. This is different. It feels like a genuine work truck.

I agree, they look good in work spec. So does the Colorado. I spotted a crew cab lo ngbed WT Colorado at a local dealer the other day, and I kinda wanted to buy it.

I might have to look at one of these in a couple years after a bunch of my debt is paid down. I think we want to try getting an actual house first though.

Totally, house should be the priority, and by then there'll hopefully be some cheap second-hand Rangers on the market.

Definitely focus on a house first.

We’ve been getting a bunch of these XL spec ones into our fleet at work. They look nice but I have to say that getting into one after a Colorado is a huge letdown. We have plenty of both running around now and everything about the Colorado feels more modern, more substantial, more refined and even more rugged. The Ranger’s 2.3L is a hoot off the line though I think the V6 Colorado (most of ours are crew can V6’s) is nearly as fast once you get going.

The Colorado even in WT spec is a great truck. Lots of them in the fleet where I work. We recently started getting in Ranger XLs . I much prefer the Colorados.

And it's not all raked like the higher up ones. The bed actually looks level

I wish Ford would let you permanently turn off the goofy start/stop on those...

I agree. If I could afford a new truck, I would seriously consider buying that one I saw. A crew cab longbed would be pretty perfect.

There seems to be a decent market for the crew cab long bed midsizers at least around here. I’d say a good 25% of Colorados and Tacomas I see have the long bed.

Yeah, I see about the same. One of my neighbors has one in that nice dark green. The WT I saw was white. I don’t love white vehicles , but I’d probably get a vinyl shop do do some 80's style graphics or something fun with it.

One of my neighbors has a white work spec current-gen Tacoma with powder blue vinyl graphics on sides. Looks pretty cool. I don’t have a photo though sorry.
